Consulting Services



Ideal Software also provides consulting services to companies from time to time. We believe it is important to put yourself in the customer's position and think about what we would want if we were looking for a consultant to work at Ideal Software. We would be hoping for at least a few of the items below:
  1. Technically proficient in writing software.
  2. Team player.
  3. Good work ethic.

While this is a good start, we feel there is a little more to it than that. We also expect at least a few of the following:
  1. Documentation - we'd like some docs on what is being done.
  2. Open minded - there are many different ways to do things.
  3. Communication - good listener.
  4. Awareness of customer's needs.
  5. Not a 'Yes man' - That is, the person is willing to take initiative to suggest to the client a better way to do something or a more optimal approach which might help the customer to save money on the project.

This is what we would expect if we were hiring a consultant to work on a project for us. When you hire one of our consultants to work on your project, this is what we bring to the table. This is the 'standard' here.
